On the doorstep of England is some of the most beautiful country that the UK has to offer. Wales is proof that you don't need a passport to experience fabulous roads, wonderful people, and a little bit of adventure.

New for 2027, we have uncovered the best routes and hotels in the country, and have put together an incredible week perfect for any motorbike. With plenty of stops, stunning photo stops, and a few nice surprises along the way, this one will be a week to remember.

Route shown here isn't the exact route, and is subject to change due to traffic, weather, and local conditions - and fun!

Five days out of England and into the guts of Wales, running west through castle ruins, dam country and mountain passes before turning north for the big finish.

The route threads independent cafés and biker-friendly stops between the riding, with the first two nights based out of a luxury hotel deep in Bannau Brycheiniog. Along the way we'll see a medieval priory, the highest road pass in Wales, one of the tallest dams in the UK, and a waterfall gorge crossed by three stacked bridges. It's proper distance covered, broken into beautiful flowing rides through countryside and plenty of time to stretch your legs.

We're also planning a full day dedicated to the infamous Mach Loop, where the Royal Air Force often test their aircraft at low altitude, so we're chasing the chance of low-level jets screaming through the valleys. We'll then follow up by riding past two of Wales's most photographed castles and a pass through the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia) beneath Yr Wyddfa itself.

We've found some of the best bike-friendly hotels along the route too - one of them even has a petting zoo on-site! There's a bit of everything on this trip - quiet farm shops and quirky vintage stores, and dramatic scenery and genuine adrenaline stops.
